Course information

Your studies will be split between our £55m Engineering and Computing Building and the Institute for Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (AME), based at Unipart’s Coventry site. This 'faculty on the factory floor' allows you to experience technology on the manufacturing front line, including robotic automation, forming, joining, analysis and simulation, metrology and product verification technology.

Students spend time on the Unipart shop floor every week talking with people making products and the people who manage these product lines. Taught modules are applied immediately in a real factory and supplemented by continual live experiences of how things are manufactured in real time.

You will participate in ‘live’ projects at the Manufacturing Institute and with the wider support of Unipart Manufacturing Group, such as the design of a manufacturing area for a heat-exchange pipe or fuel-rail or consider the impact of automation and robotics on manufacturing efficiency

Global ready

Did you know we help more students travel internationally than any other UK university according to data from the experts in higher education data and analysis, HESA?

In 2015/16, we were able to provide a total of 2101 experiences abroad that lasted at least five days, 76% of which were our own organised trips for undergraduates and 23% from postgraduate travel.

Much of this travel is made possible through our Global Leaders Programme, which enables students to prepare for the challenges of the global employment market, as well as strengthening and developing their broader personal and professional skills.
